[ARCHIVED] Courthouse Christmas Bomb Scare Caller Sent to State Prison

Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed by the Wayne County President Judge Janine Edwards on July 2:

JEREMIAH GUTHRIE, age 51 of Honesdale, Pa was sentenced to the State Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 36 months nor more than 84 months for one count of Terroristic Threats (F3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution. The incident occurred on December 26, 2019 in the Honesdale Borough when Mr. Guthrie called in a bomb threat to the Wayne County Courthouse. District Attorney A.G. Howell stated, “The Honesdale Borough Police, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, the Wayne County Probation Department, and the Wayne County Detectives did an excellent job in bringing this matter to a swift and successful conclusion.”

MICHAEL DORAN, age 34 of Gouldsboro, Pa was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 9 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Simple Assault (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $1,640.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred on December 25, 2019 in Lehigh Township, Wayne County.

BRIANNA MYRICK, age 23 of Honesdale, Pa was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring through the SCRAM Program for a period of 72 hours, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, and participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her drug and alcohol assessment. The incident occurred on December 8, 2019 in the Honesdale Borough.

WILLIAM TEEPLE, age 33 of Equinunk, Pa was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring through the SCRAM Program for a period of 20 days, pay a fine in the amount of $750.00, and participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his drug and alcohol assessment. The incident occurred on May 5, 2019 in the Honesdale Borough.

KELIA MASON, age 26 of Hancock, NY was admitted into the ARD program for 6 months for one count of DUI (M). The incident occurred on October 4, 2019 in Buckingham Township, Wayne County.
