Welcome to the website of the Wayne County Office of District Attorney. We hope that you find the information interesting and useful to you.
As the Chief Law Enforcement Officers of the County, we are responsible for seeking justice on a daily basis, protecting the rights of our citizens through the prosecution of those among us who commit crimes, and providing support and assistance to victims of crime.
The Wayne County Office of the District Attorney is staffed by five prosecutors, a chief clerk, four clerks, a victim/witness advocate, three full-time county detectives, and one part-time county detective serving approximately 50,000 residents, and working with Pennsylvania State Police, and state and local law enforcement agencies.
The Wayne County Office of the District Attorney has the authority to investigate and prosecute crimes that occur in our county. In each case that we prosecute, the office represents the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our goal is to protect all people by aggressively and successfully prosecuting criminal activity in Wayne County while engaging in community-based crime prevention programs. The office participates in quality of life programs such as crime watch, Crime Stoppers, community policing services, law enforcement training, community outreach programs, and task force operations.
The office cannot be successful without the cooperation of victims and witnesses. Please join us and our dedicated state and local police officers in our fight to keep Wayne County a great and safe place to live, work and raise our families.
