Core members of the Leadership Team are considered the steering principles of the team. Steering members include representatives of families who have been served by child/family service systems, and community child/family service provider organizations, and will each have one vote.
At least one quarter of the SoC Leadership Team is comprised of family members and another quarter of the SoC Leadership Team shall include youth 16 to 29 years of age.
In addition, as required/proscribed by the grantor, the following child serving organizations shall have a representative member on the Leadership Team, as System Partners: Wayne County Office of Children and Youth Services; Juvenile Probation; Behavioral Health; Intellectual Disabilities; Early Intervention; Drug and Alcohol Commission; Physical Health; Schools/Education.
Other community providers/organizations who are stakeholders or who have a vested interest in improving child/family services may also be appointed as voting members of the steering committee, or may serve as non-voting ad-hoc members of the Leadership Team, and/or as voting members on various committees.
Leadership Meetings
General Meetings are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 9 AM at the Wayne County Park Street Complex Library, unless another site, time has been designated to meet the needs of child/families.
