INVITATION TO BID
The Wayne County Commissioners will receive sealed bids on a single prime contract project until 4:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, at the office of the Commissioners on the Third Floor of the Court House Annex at 925 Court Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regular meeting of the Commissioners that begins at 10:30 AM on Thursday June 8th, 2023. Bid packages including drawings and specifications may be obtained at the above address or by contacting the Commissioners’ Office at (570) 253-5970 extension 4050. A $35.00 non-refundable fee is required for the bid packages. Checks or money orders are to be payable to the Wayne County Commissioners.
Bids are invited on the following: Park Street Incubator Renovations
The work involves demolition of approximately 2,840 square feet of acoustic ceiling tile and grid system, approximately 1,420 square feet of vinyl laminate flooring and associated cove base, lighting, wiring and two steam unit ventilators and capping existing steam supply and condensate piping and the removal of one sink and counter unit. New construction consists of approximately 125 feet of walls, the installation of 7 wood doors, approximately 1,420 square feet of vinyl plank flooring and associated cove base, gypsum wall board, plaster repair and painting walls and ceilings and staining doors and wood base molding. Also included is the modification of existing chalk boards and wall treatments with corrugated metal siding. Electrical work involves tracing existing circuits and installing new lighting fixtures and power wiring in metal conduit.
The sealed bid must be marked "PARK STREET INCUBATOR RENOVATION". A certified check or bank draft payable to Wayne County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid.
The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Commissioners for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Contract will be awarded to the bidder that submits the lowest Responsible bid on the base bid. If alternates are accepted, the bid will be awarded to the contractor submitting the lowest responsible bid total for the base bid plus the alternate. The decision to accept alternates lies solely with the Commissioners.
