[ARCHIVED] County Offers 13 Vehicles at Whetmore’s April 15 Auction

HONESDALE – Wayne County will offer 13 vehicles for auction on Saturday, April 15, at Whetmore Auctions, 39 Happy Hollow Lane, Honesdale, PA. 

The auction begins at 10 am and more information and details are available online.

Below is the list of county vehicles headed to auction:

  • Emergency Management Agency: 2001 Kristin 7X12 foot enclosed trailer, white with two-inch ball coupler for towing (gross weight 2990)
  • Maintenance Department: 2001 Dodge Dakota Truck, 333,181 miles 
  • Sheriff’s Department: 2011 Ford Explorer, 123,770 miles, includes additional interior equipment including a door panel and center console.
  • Transportation Department:
    1. 2016 Ford Challenger Bus, 173,658 miles 
    2. 2016 Ford Challenger Bus, 196,662 miles
    3. 2016 For Transit, 249,834 miles – does not run
    4. 2017 Ford Challenger Bus, 170,615 – does not run
    5. 2017 Ford Challenger Bus, 158,166 miles – does not run
    6. 2017 Ford Transit, 187,169 miles
    7. 2017 Ford Transit, 213,397 miles
    8. 2017 Ford Transit, 220,083 miles
    9. 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, 170,746 miles
    10. 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, 181,981 miles
    11. 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, 179,372 miles

All vehicles will be sold in their existing condition.

The Sheriff’s Department is also offering a number of pocket knives abandoned by visitors to the Wayne County Courthouse. There is a photograph of the knife collection on the Whetmore website.
