Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed by the President Judge Janine Edwards in Wayne County Court on Thursday, March 30.
RICHARD SWIFT, age 31, of Owego, NY, was sentenced to 10 months to 22 months in Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Accident Resulting in Death or Injury (F3) and one count of a DUI- Highest Rate (M).
APRIL MILLER, age 48, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to no less than 6 months nor more than 23 ½ months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2). She is to pay restitution of the amount of $7,092.01.
JAMES POMEROY, age 28, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to no less than 1 month to 12 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Simple Assault (M2) and one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2). He is to pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $2,181.26.
SHAWN BIRTEL, age 52, was sentenced to a period of 12 months of probation consecutive to his state sentence on one count of Criminal Mischief-Damage Property/Intent/Reckless (M2).
ALBERTO CONTRERAS, age 32, of Wilkes-Barre, PA, was sentenced to 24 months’ probation on one count of Driving Under the Influence Of Alcohol-Highest Rate (M1). He is to be placed on house arrest for a period of 6 months and pay a mandatory fine of $1,500.
WYATT SEVIGNY, age 23, of Honesdale, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months on one count of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (M2).
CASSANDRA BROOKS, age 23, of Honesdale, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle/Property (M3). She is too pay restitution to Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance the amount of $2,117.08.
BROOKE JACKSON, age 28, of Honesdale, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 9 months on one count of Simple Assault (M2) and one count of Disorderly Conduct (S).
KATELIN CAHILL, age 33, of Newfoundland, PA was placed on probation for a period of 6 months on one count of Disorderly Conduct- Hazardous/Offensive Conditions (M3).
DAVID EHRGOOD, age 62, of Lake Ariel, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months on one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M).
ANDREW STRYCHNEWIZA-BELLINO, age 30, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to no less 1 month nor more than 12 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M).
DENISE HOUSHOWER, age 50, of Lititz, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear to court
THOMAS SWENDSEN, age 38, of Carbondale, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear in court.
ASHLEY BROWN, age 36, of Carbondale, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear in court.
