[ARCHIVED] Jermyn Woman Gets State Prison Time on Heroin, Meth Charges

HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed by President Judge Janine Edwards in Wayne County Court March 31:

BRANDY MARIE MARIENSCHEK, age 39 of Jermyn Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a State Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 4 years nor more than 8 years for two (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver-Heroin (F), one count of Endangering the Welfare of Children (M2), one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver-Methamphetamine (F), one count of Buying/Exchanging Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Benefits (M1). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and pay restitution in the amount of $30.00. The incidents occurred on August 27, 2020 in Berlin Township, between November 19, 2020 and December 5, 2020 in Waymart Borough, between December 14, 2020 and December 21, 2020 in Waymart Borough, and on December 21, 2020 in Texas Township. 

SEAN CLINTON, age 41 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in a State Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 18 months nor more than 60 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Cocaine)(F). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution. The incident occurred between October 14, 2020 and November 19, 2020 in Paupack Township.

CODY KIZER, age 30 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 33 days nor more than 12 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine (M) and one count of Defiant Trespass (S). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $100.00, continue with mental health and drug and alcohol treatment and comply with all recommendations for treatment, comply with and participate in Certified Recovery Services provided by Wayne County Drug and Alcohol, and maintain employment while on parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on August 8, 2021 in Salem Township.

EMILY ELIZABETH SWIKA POST, age 23 of Scott Township Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 3 months nor more than 6 months with 12 months probation for one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) and one count of Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment within 60 days of parole. The incident occurred on August 10, 2021 in Dyberry Township.

ANTHONY G. BUNEVITCH, age 47 of Browndale Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 1 month nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition (F3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $9,763.39, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred between April 11, 2021 and June 5, 2021 in Waymart Borough.

TRAVIS J. CARNEY, age 40 of Beach Lake Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 15 days followed by 36 months probation with 90 days House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring through the SCRAM program for one count of DUI-Highest Rate (M1). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $1,500.00, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and complete 20 hours of community service. The incident occurred on July 30, 2021 in Damascus Township.

ALYSSA M. BRIGGS, age 36 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to 15 months probation for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance-Delta 9 THC (M), and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, continue compliance with Healthy Moms Program, and obtain employment within 30 days of medical release or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. The incident occurred on June 25, 2021 in Honesdale Borough.

WILFREDO C. SANTOS, age 49 of Beach Lake Pa, was sentenced to 6 months probation with 72 hours House Arrest with Electronic Monitoring through the SCRAM program, for one count of DUI: Controlled Substance/Combination Alcohol (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay the mandatory minimum fine of $1,000.00, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and maintain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on June 24, 2021 in Berlin Township.

DOUGLAS S. BRENNAN, age 66 of Newfoundland Pa, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to pay all costs, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and have his operator’s license suspended for a period of 30 days. The incident occurred on January 31, 2022 in Dreher Township.

ANNIE MAE WALCYZK, age 26 of Beach Lake Pa, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay all costs, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and have his operator’s license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on October 16, 2021 in Cherry Ridge Township.

ALURA LYNN DELONG, age 23 of Neversink NY, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.

STEPHANIE L. KRESGE, age 39 of Bangor Pa, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.
