HONESDALE (Dec. 17, 2021) – The Wayne County Commissioners encourage individuals to consider applying for open positions in county government.
“These job opportunities range from entry-level positions to highly trained professionals, and offer a chance to serve your friends and neighbors,” said Commissioner Brian Smith.
With more than 30 vacancies, Wayne County has plenty of career opportunities for those looking for work. In many cases, health benefits, a pension and paid time off is available.
“We are fortunate to have an incredible staff and we’re inviting you to join that team,” said Commissioner Joseph Adams.
In the past year or so, many people have moved to the area. Some are retired or may be interested in part-time work. The Commissioners urge interested individuals to reach out and let them know what interests you, and what hours would work best for your schedule.
“We have openings in several departments, and we’ll see if we can’t find you an opportunity that provides more than just a salary,” explained Commissioner Jocelyn Cramer. “There are also exciting career opportunities for new high school and college graduates. Please take a look at available positions or give our Human Resources staff a call to inquire about matching your job skills to our positions.”
