[ARCHIVED] Man Faces Child Sex Charges in Wayne & Pike Counties

Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the arrest of Jason A. Hook, 34, of Dingmans Ferry, Pike County.  Hook is charged with a variety of counts of sexual assault of a child in both Pike County and Wayne County.

According to the criminal complaints, Hook molested two female children in the home in Dinghams Ferry earlier this year, and another female child in Wayne County dating back Hook's arrest, conviction and subsequent inclusion in the state's Megan's Law reporting mandates in 2012.

A preliminary arraignment was held by the Honorable District Judge Bonnie Carney for the charges filed in Wayne County  Myers.  Judge Carney denied bail and remanded the defendant to the Pike County prison.  A preliminary hearing for the charges filed in Wayne County is to be set by the Court.

On August 10, 2021, the charges filed in Pike County were bound over by Honorable District Judge Paul Menditto after a preliminary hearing.
