Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed Judge Janine Edwards in the Court of Common Pleas on Thursday, Aug. 5:
EVAN VALENTINE SPANGENBERG, 23, Preston Park, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 22 months nor more than 60 months for one count of Aggravated Indecent Assault (F2) and one count of Simple Assault (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and restitution in the amount of $10,000. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, no unsupervised contact with any child under 18 unless approved, as well as undergo a sex offender evaluation while incarcerated and comply with all treatment recommendations. He must participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his drug and alcohol assessment, continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, as well as obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation precluding him from employment. The incidents occurred between January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013 in Preston Township and July 19, 2020 in Texas Township.
RANDY S. HADDEN, 47, of Honesdale, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to pay all costs, have his driving privileges suspended for a period of 30 days, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and complete 20 hours of community service. The incident occurred on March 8, 2021 in Cherry Ridge Township.
GARY WARREN HOFFMANN, 27, of Moscow was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to pay all costs, have his driving privileges suspended for a period of 60 days, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and complete 20 hours of community service. The incident occurred on March 22, 2021 in Salem Township.
MICHAEL E. MALINSKI, 68, of Starlight was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to pay all costs, have his driving privileges suspended for a period of 60 days, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and complete 20 hours of community service. The incident occurred on March 22, 2021 in Buckingham Township.
DAYNA JEANNETTE REIMANN, 28, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to a $300 for one count of Retail Theft (M2). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, comply with her drug and alcohol treatment, and maintain employment. The incident occurred on April 23, 2020 in Salem Township.
JORDAN TERRELL COXSON, 23, of Waymart was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.
