WAYNE COUNTY (June 25, 2021) -- The Wayne County Office of Behavioral & Developmental Programs & Early Intervention launches a new Crisis Line on Thursday, July 1, in partnership with the Center for Community Resources (CCR).
Through the toll-free number, 1-833-557-3224 (1-833-55REACH) CCR provides mental health crisis intervention services, both telephone and mobile, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Beginning on July 1st, individuals calling Wayne Crisis will reach a live, compassionate, and caring crisis counselor. Individuals calling Wayne Crisis can talk to the crisis counselor on the phone or request that the counselor come to see them in the community.
Wayne Crisis provides crisis intervention, risk assessments, supportive crisis counseling, and referrals to community resources. Anyone who is struggling with depression, emotional concerns, and/or serious mental health symptoms can REACH out for help and support by calling 1-833-55REACH. CCR works with the Wayne County mental health provider network to link individuals to services and treatment helping people live their best lives.
Wayne Crisis also provides follow-up support through the crisis event and resolution. Text and chat are also available through CCR’s website. These confidential services are offered free of charge.
Center for Community Resources was created in 2002 to provide assistance to the community through a single point of contact. Since its inception, CCR has expanded its crisis intervention services to include 17 rural counties in Pennsylvania. Wayne County Office of Behavioral & Developmental Programs & Early Intervention is excited to partner with CCR to enhance community based mental health crisis services for the residents of Wayne County.
