HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following cases were addressed by the Judge Janine Edwards in the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday, June 3:
ANTHONY MICHAEL DESANTIS, age 58 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 18 days nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Simple Assault (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, continue with his drug and alcohol treatment and comply with all treatment recommendations, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, complete an anger management program, and relinquish any firearms and ammunition. The incident occurred on January 16, 2021 in Berlin Township.
SEAN MICHAEL BRUSSELL, age 31 of Honesdale Pa, was previously sentenced on May 2, 2019 to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 120 days nor more then 5 years. The Defendant was found in violation of his probation, was resentenced and remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for the remainder of his sentence, May 2, 2024. On May 18, 2021 the Defendant tested positive for Drugs.
SREBRE BLAZESKI, age 64 of Gouldsboro Pa, was sentenced to 6 months probation for one count of Endangering Another Person (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and ordered to relinquish any firearm and ammunition. The incident occurred on September 22, 2020 in Lehigh Township.
MATTHEW SHANE KOVALESKI, age 31 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to 9 months probation for one count of Simple Assault (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $300.00, pay restitution in the amount of $2,000.00, complete an anger management program, complete a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and relinquish any firearm and ammunition. The incident occurred on August 28, 2020 in Lake Township.
KATIE LYNN BOZELLA, age 28 of Hawley Pa, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 12 months related to Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana. She was also ordered to pay all costs, perform 20 hours of Community Service, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred on July 16, 2020 in Hawley Borough.
RACHEAL M. HANSEN, age 30 of Forest City Pa, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. She was also ordered to pay all costs, perform 20 hours of Community Service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and have her drivers license privileges suspended for 60 days. The incident occurred on December 12, 2020 in Mount Pleasant Township.
LINDSAY M. MATUSZEWSKI, age 37 of Honesdale Pa, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. She was also ordered to pay all costs, perform 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and have her drivers license privileges suspended for 30 days. The incident occurred on January 18, 2021 in Texas Township.
BRIAN A. MATTHEWS, age 35 of Hawley Pa, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear for sentencing.
