HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announces the following cases addressed by the President Judge Janine Edwards on Oct. 22.
RYAN MATTHEW BROWN, 24, of Hawley was sentenced to a period of not less than 1 month nor more than 18 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for one count of Simple Assault. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, continue with mental health treatment, and complete an anger management program. This incident occurred on February 29 in Cherry Ridge Township.
JOE EDWARDS PHILLIPS, 35, of Honesdale was sentenced to a period of not less that 3 months nor more than 12 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for one count of Criminal Mischief, one count of Disorderly Conduct and one count of Public Drunkenness. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay restitution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. This incident occurred on July 16 in Paupack Township.
ANGELA MICHELLE LAHR, 34, of Honesdale was sentenced to a period of not less that 2 months nor more than 12 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility and ordered to pay a fine of $100 for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was also ordered to participate in drug and alcohol treatment and follow all recommendations and continue with mental health treatment. This incident occurred on January 7 in Waymart Borough.
CHARISSE DANELLE COLON, 44, of Hawley was sentenced to a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 23 ½ months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for one count of Terroristic Threats. She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, have no contact with the victim, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and complete an anger management program. This incident occurred on January 17, 2019, in Texas Township.
JOSEPH PETER KREYLING II, 27, of Hawley was sentenced to a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 6 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and participate in drug and alcohol treatment and follow all recommendations. This incident occurred on December 4 in Honesdale Borough.
MICHAEL CLEMO, 42, of Honesdale was sentenced to 12 months probation and ordered to pay a fine of $250 for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. This incident occurred on December 21 in Honesdale Borough.
CHARLES EUGENE ROSS-SMITH III, 23, of Lakeville was sentenced 6 months probation with 72 hours House Arrest through the SCRAM program and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Schedule 1 Controlled Substance and one count of Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended/Revoked. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, participate in drug and alcohol treatment and follow all recommendations, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. This incident occurred on July 27, 2019, in Hawley Borough.
DANIEL S. TROIANO, 33, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to 6 months probation and ordered to pay a fine of $50 for one count of Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle/Property, one count of Limitations on Overtaking the Left and one count of Careless Driving.
