[ARCHIVED] Beach Lake Man Arrested for Sexual Assault on Four Minor Children

HONESDALE -- Authorities arrested a Beach Lake man fro sexually assault four minor children

The Wayne County District Attorney announced the arrest of Joseph Christopher Krombel, 22, for sexually assaulting the children ages 12, 1-, 6 and 5 years old. In four separate complaints, Krombel is charged in each complaint with 16 counts ranging from rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, obscene and other sexual materials and performances, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with minors.

The Affidavits of Probable Cause, filed by State Trooper Sharon Palmer, allege Krombel sexually molested the children over a period of time of approximately three years. It is alleged Krombel forced the children to watch porn and perform sexual acts upon each other as well as watch their siblings perform sexual acts upon each other and Krombel. Krombel told the children to keep it a secret or else he would be in big trouble.

The children revealed Krombel’s assault after he was removed from the residence for allegedly assaulting the children’s mother.

The Central Court date is set for August 26, 2020. Krombel is held in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on a total amount of $300,000 bail.
