[ARCHIVED] Two Receive Extensive State Prison Sentences in Wayne Cout

HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the criminal sentences handed down by President Judge Janine Edward on Thursday, Aug. 13.

WILLIAM RAVE, age 25 of Waymart, PA was sentenced to the State Correctional Facility for a period of not less the 16 months nor more than 84 months for one count each of, Deliver of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (F), Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance (F), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (F3), Possession of a Controlled Substance (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution. The incident occurred between November 15, 2018 and November 22, 2018 in Texas Township.

NICHOLAS FORTENBERRY, age 37 currently residing at SCI Waymart, Pa was sentenced to the State Correctional Institute for a period of not less the 15 months 90 days nor more than 36 months, for one count of each, Fleeing (M2), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) and Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended/Revoked 2nd or Subsequent Violation (S). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution. The incident occurred on October 19, 2019 in Sterling Township.

TIMOTHY HAYES, age 41 of Lake Ariel, Pa was sentenced to Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 30 days nor more than 6 months for one county of DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on September 7, 2019 in Salem Township.

CHRISTOPHER JONES, age 52 of Beach Lake, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 15 days (time served) nor more than 12 months for one county of Criminal Mischief (M3). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $1,751.44, have no contact with the victim, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and obtain employment within 30 days. The incident occurred on December 19, 2020 in Paupack Township.

WYATT ANDREW METZNER, age 28 of Lake Ariel, PA was sentenced to house arrest for a period of 90 days through the SCRAM program and placed on probation for a period of 5 years, for one count of DUI (M) and one count of DUI (M1). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $1,800, attend the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, participate in drug and alcohol treatment, and complete 25 hours of community service. The first incident occurred on September 6, 2017 and the second incident occurred on February 26, 2019 both in Lake Township.
