HONESDALE -- A 51-year old Preston Township man was found to have multiple marijuana plants, jars containing marijuana, and paraphernalia in his possession.
Wayne County District Attorney AG Howell said Michael Lowell Crandall of 2910 Creamton Drive, Lakewood, PA has been charged with the possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On the morning of May 29, 2020, Pennsylvania State Police were investigating information they had received regarding stolen firearms located in a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer parked in the driveway at 2910 Creamton Drive. The Police arrived at the location and identified the vehicle in the driveway near a detached two car garage. While conducting a search of the vehicle the police smelled marijuana coming from within the garage. The police were able to identify live marijuana plants on a platform near the ceiling of the garage from a window.
Later in the day, after receiving a search warrant for the residence and garage approved by District Attorney Howell and signed by Magisterial District Judge Linus Myers, the police found 11 live marijuana plants, 19 jars containing marijuana, 1 zip loc bag containing marijuana, 8 glass pipes with marijuana residue, and 1 false book containing marijuana residue.
