[ARCHIVED] Newf'ld Man Gets State Prison Term for Failing to Identify Himself Properly

HONESDALE -- Wayne County President Judge Janine Edwards handed down the following sentences in the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday, Jan. 2:

BRANDON MATTHREWS, age 25, of Newfoundland, PA, was sentenced to the State
Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 21 months nor more than 84 months for one count of Failure to Verify Address/Be Photographed as Required (F3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and pay $250.00 to the DNA Detection Fund. The incident occurred on July 1, 2019 in Dreher Township, Wayne County.

JUAN NEGRETE, age 44, of PA, was sentenced to the State Correctional Institution for a period of not less than 14 months nor more than 3 years for one count of Terroristic Threats (M1). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and pay $250.00 to the DNA Detection Fund. The incident occurred in Canaan Township, Wayne County.

WILLLI HOERSTING, age 85 of Garden City, NY, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs. The incident occurred on August 17, 2019 in Texas Township, Wayne County.

CHRISTINE MARTIN-BRANNING, age 38 of Beach Lake, PA, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. She was also ordered to pay all Court costs and perform 25 hours of community service and have her operator’s privileges suspended for 60 days. The incident occurred on July 8, 2019 in Cherry Ridge Township, Wayne County. Her blood test revealed a BAC of .355%.
