[ARCHIVED] Lake Ariel Man Arrested on Child Sex Assault Charges

HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney Patrick L. Robinson announced the arrest of Glen Edwin Donahue, 54, of Lake Ariel  in two separate cases. He face three counts of felony rape, involving one victim and four felony counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor, two misdemeanor counts of Terroristic Threats, four counts of Corruption of Minors , three counts of Indecent Assault, felony False Imprisonment and Intimidation of Witnesses or Victims charges as well as Furnishing Alcohol to Minors.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause in these two cases, filed by State Trooper Sharon Palmer, Donahue committed these acts between May 2009 and November 26, 2019, involving four underage females.It is alleged one of the girls was raped on multiple occasions during the 10 year period. On one occasion it is alleged she was under 13 years old.

Robinson stated that the allegations contained in both Affidavits of Probable Cause are extremely disturbing. It is alleged that Donahuethreatened to kill the victims, Children and Youth Caseworkers, and members of Law Enforcement involved in the investigation.

Bail was set by Magisterial District Judge Ronald Edwards totaling $600,000 for both cases.
