HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney, Patrick L. Robinson, announced today that the Wayne County Detectives arrested a former Wayne County Corrections Officer.
Elijah Quinn Nekich, 22, of Dingmans Ferry, was arrested and charged with Institutional Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, and Official Oppression following a month long investigation by County Detectives. Nekich had engaged in inappropriate behavior with an inmate which included kissing and touching the inmate’s buttocks.
District Attorney Robinson stated, “The activity alleged in the Affidavit of Probable Cause cannot be tolerated and will be addressed appropriately.”
