[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Assault Earns County Prison Sentence

The following cases were addressed by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge and Raymond L. Hamill, Senior Judge, Wayne County:


HONESDALE, PA- June 27, 2019 

CELIO VILLALBA-DIAZGRANADOS, age 45 of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 9 months nor more than 23 months for one count of Aggravated Assault –Deadly Weapon (F2).  He was also order to pay costs of prosecution, continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendation for treatment, complete anger management program provided by parole officer and no contact with victim. Submit to drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250 for cost. The incident occurred on October 22, 2018 in Wayne County.

COLLAN PARRY, age 20 of Moscow, PA, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 90 days nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (M2) and one count of Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended/Revoked-DUI related (S) He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and pay a fine in the amount of $710 for one count of Overtaking Vehicle on the Right Side (S) and Exceed Maximum Speed Limit Established by 80 mph (S). Continue drug and alcohol treatment and comply with any recommendation for treatment and continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendation for treatment.  Obtain employment within 30 days of parole and maintain employment while on a parole. The incident occurred on October 31, 2018, in Salem Township, Wayne County.

CHRISTOPHER BROWNELL, age 29 of Moscow, PA, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 7 months nor more than 42 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substances - Heroin (M) and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and be placed on GPS Electronic Monitoring for a period of 3 months. Resolve all outstanding warrants within 60 days. Undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment, and undergo mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment. The incident occurred on December 28, 2018 in Dreher Township, Wayne County.

JERIMIAH JOHNSON, age 23 of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 4 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Simple Assault (M2).  He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment, undergo mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment and completed an anger management course provided by parole officer. Obtain employment within 30 days of parole. The incident occurred on April 9, 2019 in Honesdale Borough, Wayne County.

TYLER LAZARO, age 19 of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 12 months for one count of ossession of Drug Paraphernalia (M).  He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment, and undergo mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment.  Obtain employment within 30 days of parole. The incident occurred on March 3, 2018, in Honesdale Borough, Wayne County.

SUSAN FAIRBANKS, age 21 of Equinunk, PA was placed on probation for 6 months for one count of Disorderly Conduct – Engage in Fighting (M3). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendation for

DEVON MURO age 18 of Kingston, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance- Heroin (M). He was also order to pay the costs of prosecution, and undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment.  The incident occurred on March 22, 2018 in Honesdale Borough, Wayne County.

SANDRA SWENDSEN, 25, of Lakewood, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function (M2) and one count of Simple Assault (M1).  She was also ordered to pay costs of prosecution. The incident occurred on March 19, 2019 in Preston, Townshi                                                                              .

CHRISTIAN TERELL, 38, of Waymart, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 15 days nor more than 12 months for one count of Criminal Mischief (M3). He was also ordered to pay costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $600, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment, and undergo mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendation for treatment.  Refrain from contact with victim. The incident occurred on March 13, 2019 in Waymart Borough, Wayne County.

BABARA TYSON, 51,of n  Hawley  was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking of Disposition (M3). She was also order to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $300 and pay restitution in the amount of $4,000.  The incident occurred on November 17, 2010 through June 22, 2017 in Palmyra Township, Wayne County.  

ROBERT STEVENSON, 59, of Greeley was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Driving Under Influence (M). He was also ordered to pay costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $300.00, and attend and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program.  The incident occurred on D
