[ARCHIVED] County Detectives Arrest Seven in Meth/Herion Bust

HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney Patrick L. Robinson announced the arrest of seven people, who have been charged in connection with an undercover investigation of methamphetamine sales.

The following individual face a total of 14 felony and seven misdemeanor charges following arraignment and the setting of bail:

  • Shane Knecht, age 28, of Gouldsboro; bail set at $25,000; He is currently incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
  • William Rave, age 24, of Honesdale; bail set at $25,000; He is currently incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
  • Jasmine Muckle, age 21, of Lake Ariel; bail was set at $20,000 and she was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility.
  • Jeremiah Guthrie, age 49, of White Mills; bail was set at $50,000 and he was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility.
  • William Murphy, age 37, of Blakeslee; bail set at $25,000; He is currently incarcerated in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
  • Kyle Freiermuth, age 39, of Honesdale; set to surrender March 27.
  • Toby Kimbrough, age 42, originally from Alabama and is possibly in the Carbondale area; remains at large.

The Wayne County Drug Task Forced utilized a confidential informant to purchase approximately 50 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 20 bags of heroin in three separate transactions that took place in Texas and Berlin Township and Hawley Borough.

Guthrie and Muckle are scheduled to have their first court appearance on March 13, at the Wayne County Courthouse. Rave, Knecht and Murphy are scheduled to have their first court appearance on March 20 and Kyle Freiermuth is scheduled to turn himself in on March 27.
