Point-In-Time (PIT) Count


A coordinated outreach and searcheffort designed

to identify individuals/familiesexperiencing homelessness in Wayne County

January 24th, 2018

4:30PM – 10 PM

Teams of volunteers will be attempting to locate and approachthose without housing to provide outreach, information, care packages, etc.


You can:

-Volunteer to be part of a search team

-Make the County aware of someoneexperiencing homelessness

-Tell us about any youth (18-24)doubled up/couch surfing

-Tell us of known locations wheresomeone might be


Point-In-Time Countsprovide data used in allocating Federal and State resources to assist inaddressing homelessness in local communities.

In 2017, over 65individuals, including children, were identified as homeless and assisted inobtaining permanent housing using these resources in Wayne County.


We can’t get the funding if we don’t showa need
