[ARCHIVED] US Marshals Take Homicide Suspect into Custody

HONESDALE -- Members of the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Kevin Jordan of Mount Pocono without incident on May 15 and turned him over to detectives from the waye County District Attorney's Office. He is the fourth defendant to be charged in the home home invasion and robbery in Lehigh Township late last year.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Kathleen Martin said,"On December 8, 2017 Joseph Keith Stengline Sr. was beaten and stomped to death by the four individuals who entered the home to rob and assault the home’s occupants. The elder Stengline was kicked repeatedly, causing a skull fracture and subdural hematoma. He died five days later in the hospital."

The three other homicide defendants, Coneil “Murda” Moore, Lewis “Ricky” Tucker, and Darian Daniels have each had their preliminary hearings and have been bound over on all charges for trial. Currently, they are all facing charges of First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assault, three counts of Simple Assault, and Conspiracy to commit each of those crimes.

District Attorney Patrick L. Robinson thanked the Wayne County Detectives, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office for their diligent efforts in locating and arresting Kevin Jordan.

Magistrate Linus H. Myers arraigned Jordan on all charges including Homicide and remanded Jordan to the Wayne County Correctional Facility. Jordan is being held without bail. The next court appearance of this matter is Wednesday in the Wayne County Courthouse.
