Senior Judge Raymond L. Hamill, handed down the following sentences in the Wayne County Court of Common Please Thursday, March 29:
MARIA ISABELLE GONZALEZ, 22, of Hawley was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of 90 days followed by 48 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for one count of Delivery of Controlled Substance, a Felony. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, be placed on Electronic GPS Monitoring for a period of 6 months, resolve all outstanding warrants within 30 days of parole, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, submit to the drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250 for the cost, and perform 50 hours of community service within three months of parole. The incident occurred on April 6, 2017, in Texas Township.
STANLEY RAMON ESKRA, 44, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 12 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution. The incident occurred on July 28, 2017, in Paupack Township.
BILLY J DEGRAW, 38, of Honesdale was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 3 months nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI-Solvent or Noxious Substance, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, and attend and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on May 28 in Paupack Township.
JAMES PUGLIESE, 54, of Scranton was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 1 month nor more than 12 months for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, a Misdemeanor of the 3rd Degree. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $32.75, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, and continue with mental health treatment. The incident occurred on July 11, 2017, in Honesdale Borough.
BRANDY MARIE SANDERS (EVERARD), 33, of Honesdale was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 12 months for one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, an ungraded Misdemeanor. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation. The incident occurred on September 27 in Honesdale Borough.
BRANDON SAMSON, 39, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, attend and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, be placed on alcohol monitoring through the SCRAM program for a period of 90 days, continue with mental health treatment, perform 50 hours of community service within 3 months, and maintain employment. The incident occurred on April 25 in Lake Township. He refused to consent to a blood test.
CORA JEAN WELLER, 27, of Hawley was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, a Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, perform 25 hours of community service, and obtain a mental health evaluation. The incident occurred on June 23 in Honesdale Borough.
DEVIN OTT, 21, of Beach Lake was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, attend at least three AA/NA meetings per week, perform 40 hours of community service within 3 months, and maintain employment while on supervision. The incident occurred on October 5 in Berlin Township.
VERONICA LYNN DEANGELO, 47, of Hawley was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or disposition, a Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $30.50, and undergo a drug alcohol evaluation. The incident occurred on September 11 in Hawley Borough.
