HONESDALE – A man from Staten Island, NY, has been sentenced to 22 to 72 months in a State Correctional Institution after pleading guilty to misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and theft from a motor vehicle after pleading guilty in Wayne County Court, says District Attorney Patrick Robinson.
Eugene Bluemke, 50, broke into a vehicle parked in the K-Mart parking lot in Texas Township on Aug. 21. He was caught in the act by the female victim, who wrestled him out of the vehicle. Bluemke then threatened to cut the victim with a knife (which he did not display) and attempted to steal a laptop charger.
DA Robinson said, “Mr. Bluemke is a menace to society. He has been convicted 21 times in four different states. At least three of his prior convictions were for activities similar to his actions in the K-Mart parking lot. He richly deserves his sentence.”
